i got bored ya'll--can you believe that mess?!--it happens everytime i get sick and feel better--i want to play--so i turned on the webcam and had a foto session with me, myself and I and my doo--have to turn that energy somewhere since everyone is in the bed sleeping--

from this lil' fella this morning--just my typical grandson doing his routine phone call like a doctor--mind you, he doesn't know i'm home for the day from work sick--my body is aching like crazeeee--



Tyler: "maw-maw?"

Me: "yes"

Tyler: "maw-maw, can you hear me?"

Me: "yes huney i can hear you"

Tyler: "maw-maw, come pick me up from school okay?"

Me: "wheres your mommy?"

Tyler: "did u hear me maw-maw?" {shouting}

Me: "tyler, wheres your mommy?"

Tyler: "she right here-are you picking me up at the school?"

Me: "yes baby, i can pick you up from the school today"

Tyler: okay, byyyyyyeeeee"

then the booger hangs up---so naturally i called my daughter wanting to know if she knew he called me:

Me: "hey huney are you okay?"

Daughter: "yes mom i'm fine"

Me: "did he hit my speed dial number on your phone again?"

Daughter: "that's YOUR grandson!"

Me: "yeah that he is--i told him i would pick him up so let Big Boy {tylan} know, too"

Daughter: "okay i'll tell Big Boy, too"

Me: "you know he scared the crap outta me just now by calling me"

Daughter: "yeah he does that to me also"

Me: yeah, you gotta love him though--thats my boy"--aighty then, see you when you get home and they will be yours for the night--{hahahaha}

Daughter: {laughing} "alright mom--peace"

Me: "Peace"

so i called my husband and gave him the 411 on the phone call and he said that he will pick them up when he gets off from work since i'm home in the bed resting {yepperz}--will tyler be disappointed that i didnt show up?--nope cuz he lubbz him some Paw-Paw something fierce---God is good!

ADULTS ONLY!!!

it all started when i went to the African market a couple of weeks ago and bought a container of pure Shea butter and a bottle of extra virgin olive oil and put it aside--



well, last night i took time to melt the Shea butter with the EVOO and put it in the fridge--twist my hair and tied it up and went to bed--got up this morning looking at my hair and thought it was time for the annual 1-2 inch trimmin' of the endz--yes, i trim that much off and don't look back--but today was different--i combed it out and sectioned it so i can get easy access to the sections i wanted to work with--

slowly, i let the Shea butter melt on my fingers--smooth, creamy and dang near erotik--you know what i mean--we're all adults here--four play is dang near necessary even with caring for your hair--i began coating my hair with it--giving it the care it needs--i have to protect it from the harsh cold weather coming our way soon--

nothing like sitting at a mirror staring at your crown of glory at its best--and slicking that creamy smooth Shea butter on the hair giving it that moist gleam----seriously i feel a woman should take time to get her hair prepared and she should take the steps to please and nourish her hair--


so afterwords i took pictures of the cute lil' curlies i cut off--



and the Shea butter/evoo i mixed {had to mark the lid so no one would mistake it for a spread to put on a sammich}--




wish i took before pix--but then again you don't need to see them bad boyz--they were jacked the heck up--LOL--



{ hmphhhhh, gotta get them nails done next}



i'm not a hair expert but i do know what works for my hair--my crown of glory loves it when i take time for her--oh and just so you know, i didn't cut the usual 1-2 inches but will next time--i'll keep you updated!

i never thought i had to post something that hurts me to the core of my soul--but i felt you must know about it--i cannot go into much detail about this but just know that we are truly blessed indeed--i haven't been posting much because i'm recovering from my daughter getting shot about 2 weeks ago--2 bullets struck her in her thigh--one went completely through her thigh but the other one has to remain there the rest of her life--she's doing better than expected--she's making a great comeback--so we had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday--thankful that we are still a family who love one another--thankful to face her and tell her we love her--thankful to hug and kiss her--thankful to just look at her and see her beautiful smile--she's a fighter--always has been--from the time she was born--a preemie who stole my heart--had to struggle to be at the top--she's a survivor--and i love her and admire her for having that drive in her--

do i love my children the same?--HELL YEAH I DO--i wouldn't have it any other way--what kind of mother would i be if i did love them differently?--a terrible one--you just might see me on the 6:00pm news with one of my kids telling the reporter how awful i am as a mother--"she don't love us the same-she been tellin' us since we were old enuff to read and write"--how stoopid does that sound?!--lol--I LOVE MY JOB AS A MOTHER--it has its perks and it has it's blahs--but just seeing their faces everyday makes my day a whole lot brighter--

anyways, i just wanted all of you to know why i've been somewhat quiet in here--i've been praying like crazy for my family and everyone i'm in contact with--even all of you!--you see, to me prayer is a powerful thang--and there is meaning in it when you close your eyes and meditate to converse with God one on one--I talked to Him in my truck yesterday and the tears just came pouring down--I hadn't cried that real good cry since her shooting--but i was at work and felt i had to step out of the building to get away from everyone--it hit me all at once--reliving the night i got the call, driving to the hospital seeing my baby laying on the bed with 2 holes in her leg--and looking at her sister with hurt in her eyes because she was there when it happened--but i had to release it and God knew exactly when i had to let the tears fall--God is good!--TALK TO HIM and see if things turn around for you--He is my best friend, my confidant, my provider, my strength, my heart and soul--And with those prayers i send His way, He continues blessing me physically, mentally, financially and yes, spiritually--You see my Daddy loves me--and He feels the same for you--

don't ya'll get me up hurr' preachin' now--LOL--if i do just make sure ya' call tyler perry and tell him he better tell Madea to move over cuz i'm about to come out my pew seat--peace be still---ya'll remain blessed!

So on a more scrappy note; I wanted to show you all a peek at a new paper pack coming Thursday to at the Karla Dudley Designs shop.



Can you believe this?--she named a paper pack after me!--GOTTA LOVE IT---make mamma proud and create some nice things with this kit---LOL

There are 16 papers, a border rub-on and a brush. She custom made the design and it was so cute + she really liked the colors so she switched re-invented the design for the papers. They ended up being the same design done in totally different ways.Karla just think they're super adorable with the hounds-tooth undertones.



FYI: to those of you who are into digital scrap booking and want to learn more on how to create with templates, go her to Karla's blog and you'll see a video of her creating with one--how kool is that?!!!---

by KARLA DUDLEY DESIGNS--this is her thanksgiving holiday pack which is amazing--



There is a simple page template in there, some brushes and two punch out designs. It's really neat to use your scalloped circle punches on those and make elements + tags with them. Use circle punches or scissors too. Or love 'em like they are and slap them in a digi page---

::UP the stairs, AGAIN!::

at this moment---heck yeah!--i don't know what it is but i'm so not feeling it today--lemme tell you what happened yesterday--at work having a great time with the kids--had to go to the principals office for a one on one meeting--outcome: good--

had a salad for lunch and i ate with the kids as usual--did my usual shelving of the books, scanning books in, scanning books out--hanging up art work {yes, we are an ARTS IMPACT school and the kids work is showcased in my library}--and low and behold, it happens--i was walking up the stairs and before i could set foot on the last step, i fell UP the stairs--again!--i went crashing down--didn't see or hear it coming--and to top it off, there was a class going up the stairs at the same time--they were shocked as much as i was--so i tried to make light of the situation and told them at the count of 3 to laff it off---and they did--it was my way of getting the laffs out of their system--then afterward they hovered round me to make sure i was alright--so i left work early--went home took some tylenols and laid down for a bit---

got up to return to the school for their FALL FASHION SHOW---it was so nice and it was good to see so many families support their children--so yeah, i got home and crashed on the bed and slept real good--BUT today, the old body is sore as heck--but yet, I'M ALIVE---imma be aiight--just need to take things slow--so I'm going to work on a couple of projects and I'll get back with y'all later today or tomorrow ---remain blessed!!
